​Author bio:

In her life, Liz has been a child, a daughter, a student, a friend, a secretary, a waitress, a teacher, a farmers’ market manager, a master gardener, a stepmother, a mother, a wife and widow, and a girlfriend. But always and despite it all, she has been a writer, starting at age eight by writing to Dear Abby—and then writing Abby’s response, too. In high school, her essay “The Color Brown” received kudos from Mrs. Johnson. In college, her first published story brought the snack bar lady to tears. Two books of stories and now two novels later, she lives, writes, and gardens on an island in Lake Champlain.
